You are already doing a lot of good for yourself at the Bio Vital breakfast buffet. With the sauna, swimming and if you like some fitness you will get even more good things moving on this wellness day. Breakfast and natural snacks are included. Bookable from monday to thursday inclusive.

Even more, because the holistic approach gives you lasting strength that you take with you and back into your everyday life. On weekends, public holidays and holiday periods we cannot offer this individual wellness day-package without overnight stays.

Included services/Schedule of the day

Arrive at your leisure and check in at reception first. Start your day off to a flying start with our organic vitality breakfast buffet in the Spinnstube, available for you to enjoy between 7am and 11am. The selection is organic, varied and wholesome.

How about starting with a (non-alcoholic) sparkling wine, for example? Or would you prefer to mix your own vegetable cocktail?

You have the pleasure of choice, with options such as wholemeal breads and homemade spreads, jams, home-smoked salmon or egg dishes freshly prepared for you. You can also choose from fresh fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, fruit muesli, vegan porridge, seeds, spices and much more.

After breakfast, our reception staff will provide you with your wellness bag containing a bathrobe and towels on loan; any questions will be answered and all relevant information provided.

Together, we’ll head up the stairs to the Neandertal Therme wellness area. This is followed by a guided tour of all the rooms and facilities at the Neandertal Therme. Any agreed appointments will be discussed at this time.

The wellness area at Land Gut Höhne is called NeandertaI Therme.

It offers:

  • Outdoor showers, cold plunge pool and Kneipp basin

The Spa Day includes participation in one of the small-group offers that day, either in the morning and/or afternoon.

Depending on the day’s programme, this may consist of meditation, a guided imagery session, Qi Gong, yoga, a walk in the woods, a foot massage, a creative workshop, aqua fitness or Pilates.

The seasonally themed programme is finalised one week in advance. If you would like to know in advance, you can enquire at short notice by calling 02104 – 7780 directly.

The individual treatments Yurashi and sound massage are not included; please book these in advance.

Whenever you feel peckish between 1 pm and 5 pm, you’re welcome to help yourself to the buffet-style of natural bites in the Spinnstube or the foyer, dressed in casual clothing. Light and wholesome treats are waiting for you.

Vegetarian, vegan, savoury, sweet and nutritious options are available in the form of homemade cakes, wholemeal bread, salad, soup of the day, waffles to bake yourself, and a selection of coffees and teas on a self-service basis.

Depending on the activities you have included in your spa day, please remember to

  • bring bathing shoes, a swimsuit or swimming trunks or flip-flops (with the exception of the saunas, the Neandertal Therme is not a nude spa),
  • please make an appointment approximately one week in advance (if you wish to book a Yurashi treatment, a sound massage or a bath in the light tub),
  • please purchase a chip card from reception beforehand (if you wish to use the hydrojet massage bed).

Your spa day comes to an end at around 6 pm. Our staff at reception will be happy to collect your spa bag and its contents.

Alongside a natural, relaxing atmosphere and organic food, sport and relaxation are integral aspects of wellness.

The range of saunas includes three outdoor saunas, as well as the Finnish sauna and the steam grotto inside the Neandertal Therme. Here you will also find the pool under a glass roof, the hot water pools set into the rock face, the gym, and the shower and relaxation areas. Near the outdoor saunas, the outdoor area features a Kneipp foot bath, an ice tub, hot water foot baths and outdoor showers, providing relaxing warmth and cooling stimulation.

Our organic buffets offer high-quality food, an authentic atmosphere and warm hospitality.

A wholesome, nutritious breakfast is included with every room booking.

From 7 am (7.30 am at weekends), we serve wholemeal bread, homemade fruit spreads, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, home-smoked salmon, cheese and eggs – served as scrambled or fried eggs – all freshly prepared.

Every day between 1 pm and 5.30 pm, the organic buffet in the Spinnstube serves up a selection of light, natural bites. Whether it’s a homemade vegan waffle, a salad from the fresh buffet, the soup of the day or homemade cake, there’s something for everyone here.

At the organic buffets with live cooking islands in the Gutshof Restaurant, you can watch the chefs at work as they prepare the food. You can also see the sushi-creations being made first-hand.

Freshly delivered, freshly prepared, organic and as regional as possible: that’s the menu at Land Gut Höhne.

As well as the buffet, you can also enjoy the best sushi in the Gutshof restaurant. Sake don, sashimi, soups, salads and other Japanese delicacies are all freshly prepared. Japanese master chefs create the dishes live.

As true to nature and detail as our description and pictures of the rooms are supposed to be, you may still have questions about them. In the frequently asked questions listed below you will surely find your question answered.

You can cancel free of charge up to 8 days before arrival if you book a package.

Check-in is at 3pm. Rooms are generally ready to move into then. Cleaning begins at 11am on the day of departure. Earlier check-ins or later check-outs are charged at €75.

No, not anymore. We love dogs too. However, after decades of allowing them, we have recently decided to no longer permit dogs or other pets in the rooms. On average, the behaviour of ‘dog and owner’ or ‘pet and owner’ has changed drastically, to the extent that the cleaning effort has become disproportionate and unreasonable for our team. We have now had to draw the line. However, upon request, day guests with a dog may occasionally be allocated specific areas of the restaurant, foyer or Spinnstube.

Yes, various rooms or suites are suitable for families or friends travelling together: 4-bed suites as well as accommodation consisting of two en-suite double rooms with a common main door in front.

A wellness bag with a robe and sauna towel is provided in your booked room for each guest. Simple, sustainable flip-flops are available from Reception for €3.50. Birkenstock shoes can be purchased in our shop.
